Summary:

The Product Analyst will draw on their perioperative clinical experience as well as working directly with clients in producing product specific requirements, identifying market trends, competitive positioning, and creating business justification for each major software release. The product analyst acts as the product champion for their product(s) while confirming product(s) address market needs, create differentiation from competition, and drive revenue growth.



The product analyst uses influence throughout the organization to confirm successful delivery of new releases, new products, and achievement to their product metrics. These metrics include product revenue, product profit and new customer adoption.



Responsibilities:

•Leverage industry and business acumen to create product strategy and vision for products
•Creates business cases to justify investment in additional product capabilities
•Manage to key product metrics; including market share, profitability and analyst rankings
•Gather product requirements related to the Perioperative environment and create Prototypes, Use cases, User stories and persona’s
•Develop requirement specifications for specific capabilities within the product
•Work directly with clients to gather and review requirements, prototypes and other items related to future product development
•Provide clinical support and feedback of the introduction of SIS solutions throughout the release process
•Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, nursing management, and other associated personnel at the client level
•Attend key conferences and workshops. Participate in meetings, shows, and conferences as required to demonstrate and promote SIS solutions
•Develop and maintain effective knowledge of competitive products and provide input to Management.
•Coordinate release rollout between departments. (Development, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Training, packaging)
•Demonstrates thought leadership with how product(s) address key market problems/needs
•Responsible for setting product direction and product planning
•Listens to the market to determine needs by actively engaging with customers, and participating in key healthcare associations
•Formulates how best to incorporate new product capability via build, partner, buy evaluations
•Manages contact with customers, industry analysts and strategic partners to obtain competitive and market data for product
•Oversees commercialization process for product releases to confirm successful delivery of new product capabilities from concept to post launch delivery
•Leads cross functional teams for successful delivery of new products to market
Qualifications: Required Skills
Specific Knowledge & Skills Required:

•Registered Nurses, CNOR’s, and/or Operating Room Directors are encouraged to apply
•Experience working with a software development lifecycle methodologies (RUP, etc…)
•2+ years of experience working with Healthcare Information Technology products desired
•Experience writing product specific business proposals desired
•Strong presentation and communication skills
•Expert use of Power Point and other presentation software
•Knowledge of technology and software in order to understand how the SIS solution fits into the competitive landscape and to demonstrate appropriately
•Skill in social perception in order to be aware of others’ reactions and how to navigate those reactions
•Skill in service orientation in order to always be looking for ways to provide helpful solutions
•Ability to reason, both deductive and inductive
•Ability to travel up to 50%
•Detailed understanding of healthcare industry and clinical environments
•Demonstrates logic and creatively when solving problems
•Exercises judgment with respect to managing priorities, resources and risk


Preferred Skills:

•Experience with Pragmatic Marketing methodology
•Experience with Agile development methodology


Required Experience
EXPERIENCE:

•2+ years’ experience working within business and/or healthcare organization
•1+ years’ experience in product management within an enterprise software organization (preferred)
